I had one on my first car, a 70 model chevelle. I hardly ever checked the oil much less change it. I did unpeal one once and was supprised to see all the tiny little shinny speck between each layer. Drove it for 5 years, had 76k when i bought it and over 150 when i loaned it to a needy couple with the understanding that i get it back when they could do better. A couple years later and living in Texas they needed to trade it so i just gave it to them. Never any exhaust smoke.
