Hey Vince, I'd ask the agent to go with you to any of the local to Saratoga Swap meets, Truck club meets, or antique car shows and dare him to tell you those folks wouldn't pay a premium for your property. Especially the ones who show up with huge motor homes or million dollar cars. Saratoga is a upper class neighborhood, with upper class tastes...So go market it to those upper class types who HAVE the money to buy old machinery and restore it, or restore old boats, or fix up airplanes, or whatever. Your agent is a dork.(Or he's got someone he wants to sell the property to that's a friend!) Place an ad in Hemmings Motor News for the property, advertise it for $225,000, and play up the proximity to Saratoga, SPAC, and the HUdson Valley and all the local Colleges, and you'll do well. Even try the FSBO magazine.Maybe the realty section of the Want Ad Digest. Heck, I'd be interested in the property if you would finance it over the way long term! (I'm in the extremely low rent district in Stephentown right now..)If I only had money I'd be E mailing ya pronto!
