Me too. I carry the little foam earplugs in my pocket all the time, and usually they are enough to get me by. If I am going to be doing something that I know will be very loud, I have used the earplugs and shooters earmuffs at the same time. My problems are from Meniere's disease: hearing loss, constant ringing, pressure in the inner ear and dizziness which sometimes becomes vertigo. Vertigo is the dizziest you can ever be, like being the drunkest you ever were in your life. In this condition, you can do nothing, not even crawl, except vomit. The good news is that usually it burns itself out at least somewhat after a while and the vertigo is less severe and happens less often. Recruitment is a strange problem--I can't hear well at all in that ear, yet loud sounds really hurt. Horns and sirens really bother me when I am driving on the road I enjoy fooling with my tractors and shop. But sometimes I just cannot take the loud sounds of my hobbies. The earplugs and muffs usually do the job for me though if there is a real reason to run the machinery. It has been suggested that I have the nerve cut. I would do this only at last resort. I can live with my problems like this for a long time. The nerve operation or complications from it can KILL you. Good luck coping with this goofy problem. There are people who understand.

They all seem to start with a chapter entitled "Theory of Electricity". After a few paragraphs I usually close the book and go back to banging out dents. A good friend and I were recently discussing our tractor electrical systems when he stated "I figure it all comes back to applying Ohms Law". At this point
