pto probs super dexta 3000....sos tranny

can anyone help........i have a supa dexta 3000
1965 it has a sos trans.all gears work perfectly but the PTO doesn't turn, i have checked to see if cable is jammed or broken but seems to fine.
if anyone has any idea's please let me know........thanks
