Hi JD, I bought mine new in 76 and it now has 225k miles. I also have the 400ci with 4spd. That was a draw back to the older gassers as they used some fuel. Mine empty would get 10mpg, then I added a automatic boat loader above the topper and it went down to 8.5mpg. Then I added a 28ft Travel trailer and it droped to 7mpg. I added a 50gal aux tank where the spare tire went. The 74 had hubs where the 76 didn't have hubs and really was a costly feature over the years. If you blew one tire then you had to put on 4 tires as it always hard to find another of the exact match. That only happened 3 times in 26yrs. I did really like the traction that full-time 4wd provided tho. I replaced the PW with a 02 F350, crew cab, 4wd, DRW, PSD, 6spd, lwb. I can only hope that the F350 will last as long as the PW did. I sure like the fuel mileage of the PSD. T_Bone
