I had a guy buy a tractor,gave me cash said he would pick it up next week,a year later it was still setting here.I didn't get the guys name, figured he would be back.I talked to a lawyer, he said sell it,if the guy shows up give him the money.That was 5 years ago,maybe he died.There's a consignment auction near me that has over a 100 pieces of machinery in the back lot,all paid for, some been there for 10 years.What bugs me is people who give you a down payment,and don't show up for months after telling you it might be a couple weeks.The tractor is sold,I don't have my money,I usually turn down payments,but I figured the guy would keep his word.Usually people who make down payments try to back out a few days or weeks later.
