A mechanics lien must be different in your state than Pa, Md , DC and VA. In those states a mechanic has a lien for his labor and materials only so long as he keeps possession of the vehicle.
In most state's it is also called a garageman's lien. In fact in many states a "mechanic's lien" is actually a lien against real estate for construction work and has nothing to do with an auto mechanic.
