field marshall history.

I am a volunteer at a large rural museum.
I have had some inquiries regarding the history of the Field Marshall Tractor.
Can anyone give me some history on its origin.
One visitor thinks she is related to the engineer who inspired the tractor. He is Samuel Field Marshall from Yorkshire , an engineer who migrated to Adelaide late 1830's. Any connection out there would be appreciated.
How did the tractor become The Field Marshall tractor?
