First thing to do is make sure you have your new IH cap. Ok, serious now, first I would get an operator manual and a repair manual, you can most likely find them on this site, in marketplace look for tractor manuals. Next drain the oil and change the oil filter, refill with oil. I always use non-detergent on the old girls(just my preference, but I don't want to loosen something bad up), drain fuel and gas tanks, put some in, not alot, but enough to start it, I don't like to fill it yet. Clean setiment bowls, do this before putting gas and fuel back in. Check radiator for water, hopefully it's drained or filled with anti-freeze. If empty, fill, check for leaks. Next install your new fully charged batteries. The manual can tell you the starting procedure, but I know you start it on gas. After you get it fired up on gas you change it over to diesel. I know that having the linkage adjusted properly is of ut-most importance, but since it has just been sitting I would think it's ok. Now after it starts, call your wife or significant other out and show her. She won't be interested, but at least she can't say you wasted money on something that doesn't run. After this i ussually sit back and have a couple of pop's and just look at her. Even better call all your friends and have them come over to see your baby. Heck, hopefully they will bring the pop's. Then lie about how much it cost, and tell them about when it will be done. Goog Luck, you have a great machine there. But then again, how do I know, I'm JUST AN IDIOT
