a friend of mines 19 year old daughter is missing her left leg about an inch below her hip.she has a quad that we converted the shifter on with just a simple air cylinder and two momentary phneumatic push buttons on the handlebars. a small 12v compressor in the rear toolbox powers the whole setup. works great. i have driven it and shifted it by the buttons and it is very convenient. i often see her ride it down to the local beach with her crutches strapped on the back rack.(and yes i know it is illegal to ride a quad on the road but it isnt very far and it isnt a very busy road)by the way i believe sara was the name of the girl who posted a while back about converting a ford tractor to hand controls
