Just purchased a well restored 1964 Cub with neg ground 6 volt generator that has just been rebuilt. Cub has regulator and distributor ignition. The problem is the generator is not charging the 6 volt battery while running. There is the restored orginal amp meter which shows no charging anps while the engine is running nor does it show a discharge with the lights on. I asked the previous owner about this and he mentioned that the generator might have been "de polarized" and I need to "re polarize" the generator. The wiring harness appears to be the original with grounding wires attached to the lights. Anyboby out there with any suggestions before I start taking the thing apart??? Thanks for your help!!!!
