Hydraulic upper link

A suggestion for those planning to use a hydraulic cylinder for the upper link on 3pt hookups. It may be necessary to add a pilot operated check valve between your auxilary (remote) valve and the cylinder. My auxiliary valve is a rotary spool which is the poorest sealing type of hydraulic valve. While transporting raised implements, I experienced the rear of the implement dropping as the tractor valve permitted the cylinder to extend due to leakage of the valve. Figure $100 to $150 for the pilot operated valve and the extra fittings/hoses for hookup. The pilot operated valve is locked until pressure is applied from the tractor valve.
