Sorry, I don't have the plans and I'm pretty sure there never were any for mine. I'm probably not much help to you but I'll just tell you that mine is upright (vertical) on the 3 point hitch. Piston is huge with a large reservoir of hydraulic fluid. Piston has over 4 feet of travel. I think it came from a log truck, possible an outrigger. 2 pieces of channel iron back to back are what it is mounted on. The pump just slides onto the PTO and there is a piece of angle iron on it which rests against the drawbar to keep it from spinning around.
That thing will split anything you can horse over to it. It is some rugged, which is good because everything I split and burn is 3 to 4 feet in length.
Wish I had a picture of it but I don't....yet.
