Hey Duner - I know of no reverse rotation alternators in cars other than the Corvair either. Only ones I have run across have been on certain small Detroit Diesels (3-53, 4-53, etc), and on small aircraft (using Motorola or MOPAR alternators, but NOT Delco...) I believe backward spinning alternators are also used in some marine applications (the port side half of a counter-rotating twin engine pair), though I've never actually seen one.
