4000 FORD

Just purchased a 4000 ford tractor.
The numbers stamped where the motor meets the
transmission are A125-371. All whom I have spoken with say these numbers should start with a C.
Can anyone inform me when and where this 4000
was made and where I can get service manuels
and parts manuels for this tractor? One more question. This tractor has been running
great. Went to use tractor and it turned over
about 2 times and fired right up, ran great
for 5-7 seconds and died and now wont start.
Got 1/2 tank diesel..Any Ideas??
