Go for broke like I did. 2001 Chevy crew cab with the duramax and allision. I have 34,000 on it. With a 12,000 pound load I get 13.1 mpg driving 75 thru the mountains. By itself, I get 23 mpg. She has plenty of power and trans is perfect. Pricey but worth it.
