Ray is misinformed about pickups in Ohio. For a commercial pickup truck, you must purchase a weight rating sticker with your plates. This sticker is then renewed yearly. Commercial stickers begin at 10000# and go up in weight rating and price at 4000# intervals. This rating is for the truck, trailer, cargo, and passengers, total #. My 3/4 ton chevy, trailer, weights, tractor, etc, runs my total # to 17000. I buy a sticker yearly at $165 for a max of 18000#. I MUST BE under 18000# on the scales to be legal.
