Since a few other brands have been mentioned, I will fill you in a little on the JD tractors - which are the most commonly referred to as styled or unstyled. The unstyled JDs had the steering bolster exposed and a simple curved hood over the fuel tank. The styled tractors had grilles over the front end and more angular and squared hoods. As and Bs were styled in 1939, Gs in 1941. Hs were always styled. There are also a few other JD tractors that were available as styled or unstyled, like the L, D, AR etc, but I'm not sure what year they were changed. Looking through the tractor photo section of this site will show you the differences.
