I also am in western TN and have experienced much of the same. I too like riding out the back roads looking at the fields and trying to spot old tractors. Not sure if I enjoy it so much because it makes my wife nuts or if I enjoy the peace and quite of the country. I have stopped at a few places that I have seen old machines sitting out and a couple have come up to talk. Most were not interested in selling but still had interesting conversations, those that were wanted way more than I could afford to pay.
