about the well assisted heat pump, you cannot pump the used water back into the ground (well #2) at least not here in w. tennessee, (environmental act) i'd lean more toward a heat system that would take care of itself if i had to be away from home for an extended period of time (backup heat that dosen't rely on the electric co. propane wall heater with no blower and a outdoor furnace that will burn large or small fuel (wood or trash or used oil and transfer the heat to the house with a liquid hot water (antifreeze) system) build a fire in the furnace and heat up the mass (rocks) and let the transfer system (antifreeze with a pump) pull heat off the mass until you build another big fire in the furnace (slow burning fires are not efficient)
