kraig, heres you an example of life on one of the navy smaller ships. Of course it's probably razor blades now or a artificial reef...but the USS Piper (SS409) an older submarine that I once rode on...if you wanted to turn over in your bunk...you got out of it, turned around and crawled back in. They were what is called "hot bunks"...only half enough bunks for the crew. You took turns using it with someone else. I think when they first started using subs...they didn't have bunks...they came back in port and slept on the base. It'd make you want to get the war over in a hurry, wouldn't it? L8R....Fred OH
