This only applies if you are using a floor jack and not a bottle jack. Even if you are using a floor jack, put the jack on a good strong piece of wood and lock the rear wheels of the tractor and the jack will move instead of the tractor.(assuming that the wheels on the jack are free) If using a bottle jack lock the rear wheels and jack away!
