There are several books that describe the history of IH and the brands they made. Farmalls were all row crop tractors. Most of the row crop tractors had non row crop equivalents which were labeled as McCormick Deering. Some of the later tractors and industrial versions were labeled as International. Now you know why I recommend one of the many books available. One called "150 years of International Harvester" is a good one to explain the company.
