Thinking of hauling a Canadian tractor home

Thanks for the responses to my earlier question. We want a 65 - 75 hp. diesel 4x4 tractor w/loader for our farm. Everything I've looked at here is thousands more expensive than what I see listed up North. We are in the mid-atlantic region. I can't figure it out. It can't just be the exchange rate. Value is value in my book. Are we paying too much for farm equipment in America these days? I see that tractor prices tend to be cheaper out in the Western states also. I'd be interested in reading what your thoughts are on this. It just don't make sense to me that there is such a difference in prices.
