I've worked on New Hollands, Cats and Deeres in dealership settings, and I can tell you that New Holland is just as into electronic "gadgets" as any other manufacturer. Just look at the replacement for the Genesis tractors. It's the nature of the beast in bigger row-crop and four wheel drive tractors. I also highly disagree with your statement about New Holland having to establish themselves as a tractor company. I worked on a lot of Genesis tractors, and found them to be reliable, very power and efficient, and a solid machine all the way around. Their four wheel drives, although an extension of the Versatile line, are also excellent machines - simple, rugged and very powerful. And that is coming from a die hard Deere fan.
