Your H would have been been assembled toward the end of 1940. You can also date a Farmall by looking at date codes on most of the larger iron parts. On your H date codes will look like this: xx-yy-J. "xx" and "yy" denote respectively the day and month the part was poured at the foundary. "J" is the code for 1940.
