I don't know why that wouldn't work. Sounds like a good idea. Tell me more about your experience with electrolysis. I know the theory and have experimented with it a little with acceptable results. However: I have been using EZ-off oven cleaner to get rid of most of the paint, followed by wire brushing, followed by a coat of Phosphoric Acid Mix that neutralizes the remaining little bit of rust, followed by a light wire brushing to remove the powder left by the Phosphoric. I assume that electrolysis would be an alternative to Phosphoric. Is it better?
