If it has an alternator, they are all for negative ground ONLY as far as I know. Connecting an alternator to a positive grounded system will ruin the diodes and voltage regulator. Some generators have also used regulators that are polarity sensitive. The starter is not polarity sensitive. A generator can be used with either polarity but may require "flashing" or "polarizing" to initially set the polarity right. Ammeters are polarity sensitive, will read backwards if incorrect, and can just have the wires reversed on the terminals to change it. Lights, switches, etc., are not polarity sensitive.
