I would check the air intake first, if you find dirt and dust, that is what caused the trouble. When you are done, the intake can be checked by putting in an old filter wraped with masking tape and lightly pressurizing the intake. Then squirt all connections with a mix of water and detergent, If you have any leaking areas the liquid will blow up into huge bubbles, this will help you prevent this problem in the future.
