If it is basically a sound tractor, that is not rusted thin sheetmetal or rims, tires usaable, engine turns it is worth that, and more, around New England. Check the boot on the shift lever. If it is shot or missing check for water in the transmission, or the pto of it has one on the bottom of the transmission. If you find a lot of water it could mean damage. If theere is a lot of water and it freezes it will carck the pto housing (low point where the water collects) or push the seal out.
