John, I had a 6.5 L powering my '96 Suburban. It burned up 5 injection pumps in three years. Water pump. Ignition switch. On and on! My dogs liked it, though. I traded it for a Duramax, which I'm very impressed and happy with. The 6.5 was so poisonous that I wouldnt sell it outright, as opposed to a trade-in, because I couldn't honestly suggest to folks that they should buy it. The dealer gave me a good trade-in, relatively speaking, knowing how much trouble I had with it. He dumped it at auction and would not have it on his lot. I would recommend it only to Tom Daschle.
