All that tire stuff reminds me of the product Armorall which I'm sure all you guys down there have seen and probably used on dashboards, vinyl, tires, etc. I thought it was great stuff back in the 70's when I started using it but found out that it actually dried stuff out and made it very brittle. As for using it on black rubber, unless you kept using it the tires turned a nice $4*X house brown color. For that reason I used to call it "Heroin", the stuff worked only as long as you kept using it. If you ever put your tires into withdrawl then it wasn't a happy sight.
