Amsoil is probably good stuff. And, so are many others. My father bought an IHC MD new in 1945. We figured it had almost twenty thousand hours before it was down for a major overhaul; brngs, sleeves, pistons, valve job, etc.

Pa never had heard of amsoil or any particular brand. I recall he used a lot of Sears and Roebuck oil, and GLF oil. He changed it as recommended and was a good caretaker.
