Boy, I'll bet the 13 year-old is really excited about tackling that one now! You scared the heck out of me with that rocket-scientist explanation, and I'm 43. Just pull the head, soak the cylinders for a few days, and tap the top of the pistons with a block of wood and a hammer. I got mine unstuck within 10 minutes a few months back. If there are no other mechanical problems, it's really no big deal.
