Got married in 2 parts. 1st, county park, had my best man's father (a pastor) do the wedding, rented chairs, tables, etc. Got married at 10:30, told pastor 30 minutes I was leaving if he was done or not, he took 27 minutes. I paid him $200. We paid 4600 for tent and chairs and table, another $500 for an excellent dessert snack menu for 100. You could reduce the expense by having a potluck rehersal dinner and not putting everyone up in a hotel (these two events ran us $700). Get someone with a classic car for $50 rather than a limo for 4300. Part 2 was a pig roast at my parent farm for all the rest of my friends, $250 for th roasted pig $500 for the fixin's and $1200 for tents and portajohns. A good time had by all. When the sun shines on you and no one has to be forced to smell smoke or sit next to someone they don't like, things just seem to go better.
