I got married in 95 my inlaws gave us ten grand they said do what you want with it have a fancy party thats gonna last for 4 hours or have a simple wedding and use the rest for a down payment on a house that you are going to spend the rest of your lives in. We went the simple route we made all the favors and rented the local fire hall and we still had a great time having our friends and family and the Lord there made the event not how much money we spent, and we are celebrating our 6th christmas in our own house and not in an apartment.
