like they have said depends on the make an the build of the trailer. i just got red of a hilboro 20 with a 4 beaver, weighed 4500 tandem single wheel. my new trailer is a H an H 25 with a 5 beaver it weighs in the neighbor hood of 7000. the 20 with the 4 ft beaver had 3 inch cross members at 16 on center. an a 12ld I beam frame. the new traier is 4 in cross an 19 ld beam. johndeeregene i would recommend a H an H to anyone. i hated my hillsboro. had trouble with it since it was new johndeeregene
