I was going down the road to the store one day in a 1949 ford pu,I past my uncle's place and saw Jimmy Dale Goddard, he was 10 , on a combine in the field. I stopped, went to the combine and made him stop. I told him he was in a lot of trouble for playing on that combine. Then uncle Gene showed up and ask what I thought I was doing. Jimmy Dale had work to do. He had 6 boys and a 1200 acre farm. milked 60 head of cows.Uncle Gene was killed working for pin tire, got caught in some kind of a rubber shredding machine, aunt rose never missed a payment, no cow went unmilked.all those boys now have college education and good careers.
