Allen, Rather than use the Shell, I would use a better oil which is Mobil Delvac 1300 15W40 for the first 2 or 3 changes; to get the rings set and proper break in. Then I would use Mobil Delvac One 5W40 Synthetic diesel oil. It is the BEST lubricant on the market, and worth the money for your new tractor. You can get the 1300 almost everywhere; Costco, AutoZone, etc. The Delvac One you can get from your local Mobil wholesaler, which is where I get it. Good luck with your brand new tractor. The cheapest thing you will ever do is put the best lubricant in it.
