I have to live with the prices...same as you...and I'll agree...it's getting tougher....and I worry about the childrens futures. It is also better than the fifties by a long shot. The prices of fuel on the weekends thing is easy for me to see....nobody wants to work weekends....probably have to pay more for weekend help. Yesterday....went to town and gasoline was $1.54/$1.64...went to neighboring town (Washington Court House) and filled up for $1.39. Thats irritating....what can you do about it? I think the answer is (you're looking at it)....the computer! It's a quick way to get the word around for the common man with no voice in most matters. Start a (your town) website and have locals post prices daily....and only buy from the lower priced one. It's bound to help some. I think the Speedway chain of stations around here post their prices on the web twice daily. Hope this is a start in the right direction. If serial killers ever changed over to price gougers in this country....I'm buying stocks in the funeral homes....and won't have to worry about fuel or other prices. (grin) L8R....Fred OH

Last niht I dreamed about the day that I plowed the field of about 10 acres over on what Jimmy and Dandy called the Ledbetter field. I was driving the 1948 8N Ford tractor that Jimmy bought in 48 new This was prebably in about 1951 and maybe even befor the house was built. This would have made me to be about16 years old and I drove the tractor for nothing and would have paid to drive it if I had had any money which I didn't, but neit ... [Read Article]
