I have cleared lots of my own land in Northern Ontario so I feel that I am well qualified to give you advice. I would not reccomend buying a dozer. Look around your area for a company or individual who has a large dozer with a bush blade. The bigger the better. Don't be scared by the high hourly price of these machines as they do so much work so fast that you will end up saving money. A D-8 could clear 10 acres in 1 or 2 days depending on the size of the trees and if there are rocks in the ground.
