Well Sid, that very thing was tried in 1919 by Ramon McGee with a horrible outcome. McGee used a Connelly Steam Conver-A-Tracboat 23/21, which was a popular model in that area of South America. After about 300 miles from the start he and the tractor disappeared forever never to be seen again. Observers said they just disolved before their eyes. After that most countries passed laws against similar attemps. Hope this helps.

Third Brush Generators - by Chris Pratt. While I love straightening sheet metal, cleaning, and painting old tractors, I use every excuse to avoid working on the on the electrics.
