Unless cultivating crop the rear wheels should be set out at least even to the axle ends. Less damage too if a shed door frame gets rubbed.
Don't know why some operators set the wheels way in so a foot or more of axle stub is sticking out. Then they are suprised when the tractor tips ona we bump while on a side hill.
