B&W Infrared camera with sound and 80' cable was $29.95 at Harbor Freight 2 weeks ago. The infrared won't do you any good past about 5' but if you leave a red light on in the pen it will look like daylight to the camera and won't bother the cows. I don't know how far the pen is located from the monitor you want to watch, but the tranformer plugs in at the connection to your monitor and all you have going out to the camera is a small 80' wire. I have one set up in the dog kennel to moniter the new pups. For that price you can try it and if it doesn't work use it to monitor something else. Good Luck.
