Long brand tractors weak points?

Looking at a Long 3-60 if I remember the number right. 3rd and 6th are out(same gear with the hi/low)to the point it jumps out of gear. The diesel seams to run good, good tires, the features I want, pretty much everything except the American background. Are these things worth paying for and is $3800 a decent price for the western side of the country? Thanks for helping, Loren.
