I brought a Super C too about a month ago at a auction. It would only start with the crank, they said batt was just low. Ended up rebuilding starter and replaced batt. Still would't start. With the advice on the I-H board I put 2 gauge batt cables on and grounded it to the starter bolt. Bingo, I start it every nite when I feed the cattle and cranks right up. Haven't seen 30 Degress here since Nov. either. Usally about 0 out. Talked myself out of the 12 volt converson. For what its worth.
