I did a lot of research on this and other sites (some of you may remember how many questions I asked), and finally got a fellow from a neighboring state to bring me an Oliver Super 55 with a front end loader. We agreed I would pay him $200 for the haul regardless what happened, and that I'd buy it if it seemed to be what he claimed it was.

Now, well over a year later, I've used it to clear several acres of wooded land, do all sorts of jobs, and only had to have the starter rebuilt. I'm super happy with the deal I got. Every now and then the emptor doesn't have to caeat, I guess.
