It sounds like the middle number will be a 6 - "x6x" because of the 5 speed & live pto. 'xx0' were not made in the 60's, it would be a late 50s tractor. Or, it would be a 'xx1' model if it's newer. The 9 tells us it is a taller, row-crop model with the bigger engine, with the rear axle stepped down to the wheels. You will find the serial number stamped (by hand so it's uneven) into the cast lobe right below the air cleaner. Wet your finger & rub across it, they can be quite light. You should see the full model number (such as 960) along with a few other numbers & letters. Often they have power steering, but I guess it was still an option. Do you have the older vane hyd pump, or the newer piston pump? (In front of the brake pedals.) --->Paul
