The N-board is the place to go, but I have one suggestion. You do realize that the hydraulic pump is driven off the pto, right? That means the pto has to be engaged for the hydraulic system to work. If that's not your problem, then you'd better access the accumulated years of experience on the N-board. Click on "discussion forums" in the left column, then scroll down to Ford 9N, 2N, 8N and click on that. Good luck!
