I'm doing something dangerous for me and talking about something I don't know for sure about:-). I think there was a US court ruling that burning of sugar cane fields would violate the clean air act. Big article in one of the farm mags on it. Big hub bub about how it was going to kill the US sugar cane industry. Then there is the one I do know about (for sure), banning of methyl bromide because of risk to ozone. Sure hurt us in the burley tobacco belt. My dad is going to have to buy his transplants this year, can't find any m.b. at all. I got out of tobacco 3 yrs ago for the same reason, saw the end coming and didn't want to sink the $$ in a float bed or greenhouse.
